The No Pride in Coalition (NPPC) is a queer and trans, Black, racialized, Indigiqueer and two spirited coalition, formed in 2018 to support Black Lives Matter – Toronto demands specifically that which called for an end to Institutional Police participation in the Pride Toronto festivities. NPPC is focused on defunding and abolishing the police. We initiated the Pride Day 2020 Defund and Abolish All Police rally and teach-ins with close to 3,000 people in attendance held at Nathan Philips Square, and the 600 person rally for defunding and abolishing the Toronto police held outside Toronto Police HQ on July 16, 2020.
